dont be put off by the first few tracks in this compilation-- this collection actually contains some very beautiful, contemplative post-rock with quiet guitars, strings, and occasionally, hushed vocals. stand out bands include This is a Process of Still Life, immanu el, City of a Hundred Spires, and Red Light Chamber Choir. in my opinion, the heavy, distorted sounds of the first few tracks and the last track dont fit in with the rest of the selections. fans of thoughtfully composed, emotional, slowly building post-rock should take note. some very beautiful music, with a few misplaced tracks electrocelt 2007-09-19 13:02:19 2007-09-19 13:02:19 3 1 3.00
